Generally the archival holdings can be accessed for research purposes after the legal period of protection (thirty years) has expired (Federal Archives Act par. 1) in compliance with the regulations on data and privacy protection.

A fee must be paid to use the university archives (see Rules concerning use of the archives XV. Fees). On your first visit to the archives, please bring a photo I.D. Before working with the archival material, you will have to fill out a user sheet. Since work space is limited, we recommend making an appointment ahead of time.

At additional expense you can also make photocopies and scans if there are no problems concerning preservation of the documents (see Rules concerning use of the archives XV. Fees.)
