The New Directions in Photography exhibition is not organized around a theme or a genre and, for that reason, does not invite many generaliza- tions; it is a collection of works by students from the Art and Photography class, exhibited after the first two semesters of the 2011–2012 academic year. Among the works in the show are paintings, prints, sculptures, video projections, and other installation works; most involve photography in the broadest sense of the term; each in its own way, they explore the place of mass-produced images in our fast changing world.
