Graduate School at the University of Cologne is based on a concept of the humanities that goes beyond the dichotomy between the humanities, the cultural sciences and the natural sciences. Research topics comprise the genesis and invention of knowledge as well as processes of reception and transculturation and their anthropological and ethical conditions.

The current call offers 20 PhD scholarships and 10 collegiate places over a period of three years (starting 1 April 2014).
