Art and science are internationally connected. Therefore the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna has developed and intensified long-term international cooperations besides its national collaboration projects. At present, the Academy has approximately 85 partner universities world-wide. In accordance with the educational objectives of the European Union, these endeavours encourage and support the mobility of both students and teachers within Europe and beyond.
The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna participates in the EU Lifelong
Learning Programme. With the acceptance of the Erasmus University Charter
in 2003 the Academy has also explicitly committed itself
to ensure the equality of women and men, the integration of students
and teachers with disabilities, the strengthening of social coherence
and the act against xenophobia and racism.
