General information for outgoing students
Students who are registered as regular students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna are eligible.
Repeated exchanges are possible in the case of partner universities who have a bilateral agreement with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. An exchange is possible for individual courses or the preparation of a diploma thesis. The minimum duration is one semester, the maximum duration one year.
Austrian citizens can apply for a study-abroad grant for students at art universities from the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (Auslandsstipendium für Studierende der Universitäten der Künste des BMWF), at the International Office of the Academy.

Selection procedure
On the basis of available exchange places at the partner university, selection for application is effected by the class professor, who will be in charge of the nomination.
Accident and health insurance
You are obliged to have sufficient accident and health insurance coverage for the total length of your stay abroad. Contact your health insurance fund for information about your insurance coverage during stays in other countries. Please also contact www.oeh.at to get information about the liability insurance covered from your OEH fee.
Financial support for students
Austrian students can apply for study-abroad grants for students at art universities (Auslandsstipendium für Studierende der Universitäten der Künste) at the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (www.grants.at). Application forms are available at the International Office.
