Never before have architects worked so globally. Yet never before did they operate in such a vacuum of shared methods and ideals. The only constituent parameter is the architectural star system, a kind of mirror image of the increasingly corporate and brand driven makeup of its clientele. Thel ogic of the market permeates not only the profession but also academia leading to an increasingly fragmented discipline. Heterogeneity seems to be an inevitable fate and is probably only fair in a cultural environment that values diversity and choice above all.

Maps, scripts and prototypes are an attempt of defining the potential of architecture and architectural methods beyond the particularities of a project and the idiosyncrasy of style. Extending the traditional architectural approach consisting of site analysis, definition of program and process and the built project itself, the aim is to understand architecture as a process of innovation that can find manifestations and relevance in different forms and formats.
