Das Edith 2022: Collection folders available until the end of June
Since 2017, students of the graphic and printmaking department have been been realizing DAS EDITH , now for the 5th time - a project for contemporary printmaking under the direction of Professor Christian Schwarzwald. 37 students take part in this year's edition. The graphics are available in the project website’s online shop dasedith.at .

New Professor of Contextual Painting: Despina Stokou
The Rectorate is pleased to welcome Despina Stokou as Professor at the Academy. From March 2022 she will head the studio Contextual Painting at the Institute of Fine Arts.

Sara Lanner gewinnt den H13 Niederoesterreich Preis für Performance
Die vierköpfige Jury, bestehend aus Madeleine Amsler, Katharina Brandl, Kira Kirsch und Petra Poelzl, hat die 1991 in Hallein geborene Choreografin, Tänzerin und bildende Künstlerin Sara Lanner mit dem H13 Niederoesterreich Preis für Performance ausgezeichnet. Sara Lanner studiert Kunst- und Kulturwissenschaften an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien.

flimmer.club is looking for moving image works (film, video, animation) up to a maximum of 10 minutes for the first Open Call between June and August. The first Open Call is explicitly aimed at students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Das Edith 2021
Der Fachbereich für Grafik und druckgrafische Techniken stellt im Rahmen des Projekts Das Edith 2021 von Januar bis Mai pro Kalenderwoche je zwei Drucke von Studierenden erstmals online vor. Diese können ab ihrem Erscheinungsdatum erworben werden.
Die analoge Präsentation der Einzelblätter und der Sammelmappe findet voraussichtlich im Juni statt. -
Die Akademie gratuliert Thomas Freiler zum Würdigungspreis des Landes Niederösterreich für Medienkunst – künstlerische Fotografie
In sieben Kategorien wurden Kulturschaffende 2020, im 60. Jahr des Niederösterreichen Kulturpreises, ausgezeichnet.

Der Kurzfilm Dont know what wurde beim Ottawa Animation Festival ( https://www.animationfestival.ca ) mit dem Nelvana Grand Prize for Short Animation ausgezeichnet, dem Hauptpreis im Bereich Kurzfilm.
