An exhibition with Lotti Brockmann, Sophia Davislim, and Jannis Neumann as part of the series Wer A... sagt of the A...cademy Library

There is no end to the turbulence. Yet their family life once seemed like something out of a picture book.
But as harmonious as their world seemed at first glance, the reality was all the more tragic. Especially in the last two years, the negative news from the relatives increased.

Lotti Brockmann studies Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Veronika Dirnhofer and works both artistically and curatorially.
Her artistic interest starts with contemporary social issues and moves between drawing, performative, and research practice.

Sophia Davislim is an Australian-Austrian artist based in Vienna, where she has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna since 2018.
Her work explores vulnerability, self-defense, safety, and violence from the female perspective. She presents her work in a fable and fairy tale like setting and uses a female protagonist as narrator. Fairy tales tell stories of adventures and possible dangers. This construct is easier to bear, as trauma can be confronted without getting too close to reality. These themes are explored through the use of often disjointed, contrasting materials and uncomfortable textures.

Jannis Neumann is currently studying Fine Arts in the studio Drawing. He is interested in the interrelationships of knowledge production, nature and its human interpretations, as well as material and graphic formations of these.
The truckapillar.com website presents a collage of drawings, texts, photographs, and videos that revolve around the imagined cosmos of the being of the truckapillar as well as the real-life timber trade and pulp production.

The photo shows the artist and a truckapillar, a creature half wooden truck and half giant insect larva, standing together in a deciduous forest and looking into the canopy. It is part of the work truckapillar.com, a digital collage of photos, videos, drawings, and texts.
