Open Access Network Austria (OANA)

The Open Access Network Austria (OANA) connects research institutions, funding bodies and science-policy partners in Austria. It was established in 2012 as a common initiative under the organizational aegis of the FWF (Austrian Science Fund) and UNIKO (Universities Austria).

e-Infrastructures Austria

e-Infrastructures Austria is a project for the coordinated establishment and further development of Austrian infrastructures for digital resources for research and teaching.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a publicly available directory for the quality assured registration of OA journals. The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna supports the DOAJ within the framework of a joint initiative ofUNIKO (Universities Austria) andFWF (Austrian Science Fund).

Open Library of Humanities (OLH)

The Open Library of Humanities (OLH) is a nonprofit institution for publishing research results of scholars from the fields of the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies Open Access, without, however, charging the authors any publication fees.

Kooperation E-Medien Österreich (Austrian Academic Library Consortium) (KEMÖ)

The Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ) aims to coordinate the purchase and resource administration of databases, e-journals, and e-books. Apart from conventional licensing agreements, KEMÖ also negotiates an increasing number of licensing contracts with Open Access components.

Sternberg Press

The Publication Series of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, which has existed since 2005, changed its publishers for Sternberg Press (Berlin) in 2012. This has resulted not only in a reconception of the content, but the publishing contract also contains, for the first time ever, an Open Access component, which means that all volumes (from vol. 12) can be made publicly available in the course of secondary publication via]a[repository in Open Access mode.

Böhlau Verlag

All volumes of the publication series Kontexte. Veröffentlichungen der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, founded in 2015 and published by Böhlau, are also released Open Access (parallel to their printed versions).
