CALL: WIENWOCHE 2012

WIENWOCHE is a cultural project, taking place for the first time in autumn 2012, and intends to expand boundaries of cultural and artistic practises and make them available for all social groups living in the city. In 2012 the project focuses on the historical, political and urban aspects of the city. The three main points of emphasis are acting, re-writing history and re-distributing space. In this context WIENWOCHE seeks to strengthen methods of working which foster alternative and collective models of working together as opposed to individualistic approaches.
We are looking for irritating and controversial, poetic and political, critical and utopic positions dealing seriously with the topic of the city as a living space of all, for those that question social and political conditions and look at possibilities of change.

CALL: Journal for Artistic Research

The Journal of Artistic Research is a free online journal published by the Society for Artistic Research that focuses on artistic practice as research, re-negotiates art's relationship to academia and couples the multi-media and social capabilities of the web with peer-reviewing and scholarly rigour.
JAR invites original submissions from artists with or without academic affiliation who wish to contribute to the ongoing debate about research in the arts, and reflect on artistic practice, processes and research in exchange with a group of engaged peers. JAR embraces research practices across and between disciplines, and the rich-media writing space actively encourages collaboration, allowing multiple authors to work on the same document simultaneously.

If you are interested in publishing a contribution in JAR please get in touch with the Editor in Chief, Michael Schwab, mailto:michael.schwab@jar-online.net or visit http://www.jar-online.net/
