November 2012

Dear colleagues, dear alumnae and alumni,

we are happy to present Art | Research News No. 9, presenting current calls and deadlines. Again, we particularly draw your attention to the call for research project funding on the topic "Public Spaces in Transition", currently issued by Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF), as well as to the career development programmes for female researchers called Hertha Firnberg and Elise Richter grants run by FWF.

And we have good news with respect to the so called PEEK programme: The ministry has decided to increase the yearly funding volume, instead of about 1.5 Mio. € there will be 2.0 Mio. € per year available for arts-based research projects. The next PEEK call will start at the beginning of 2013, the submission deadline is expected to be scheduled in April. Details will follow as soon as these are fixed by FWF. Of course you may start thinking about your next PEEK-project already right now.

We will support you during the application phase. If you do have a project idea or related questions, kindly contact m.glanz@akbild.ac.at.

With best regards from the Vice-Rectorate for Art | Resarch,

Andrea B. Braidt
