Upon decision of the board of the Association of Friends of Fine Arts (GFBK)on 27 November 1996, the Graphic Collection of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna was accorded an annual budget of € 11,000.- for “continuous acquisitions of young Austrian art with special consideration given to graduates of the Academy, but also considering related international works of art”. The acquisitions shall ensure the greatest possible diversity of artistic means of expression. In order to foster an objective selection, a jury composed of members of the faculty of the Academy and the scientific staff of the Graphic Collection shall decide on the acquisitions on 18 October 2016.

Submission criteria:

  • Graduation from an art university/academy
  • Maximum age: 35 years
  • A maximum of 10 works per submitting artist

Submission documents:

  • Preferably works on paper: drawings, prints, photography (please do not use self-adhesive films)
  • Maximum size: 70 x 100 cm
  • List of works (name, address, telephone number, email, title and dates of works, techniques used, dimensions, prices)
  • CV
  • portfolio
