In the courses currently offered, production facilities focus on analogue animation techniques such as animated cartoons, painted films, 'modified base' techniques (painting on glass, sand animation, etc.), collage andcutout animation object and material animation, puppet animation and pixilation (animation using human actors).
Anatomy and Anatomical Drawing deals with the functional connections within the human body. The focus lies on the musculoskeletal system (skeleton, muscles …). Students learn about the theory in lectures and personal conversations, and are taught how to draw parts of the human anatomy.
Students familiarize themselves with programs for designing, processing photos, videos, sound and text as well as programming, 3D animation and postproduction in the course of lectures and seminars and then implement these processes in actual artistic projects.
The work done in this workshop focuses on textile solutions for temporary room installations, projections, equipment and costumes, as well as technical effects.

The Media Laboratory, closely linked to teaching, focuses on the artistic research of moving images media. On the basis of the analogous conception of the film in its relationship to the traditional electronic medium of television, new technologies have brought these two forms of media closer to each other.
The spectrum of metalworking skills imparted ranges from operating simple hand tools such as drills, disc grinders and stroke saws to welding, soldering, lathing, milling and edging of metals. Metal founding techniques are discussed and students produce a variety of contemporary artistic works using metal.

Established in 1984, the Photo Laboratory represents the competence center of photographic technology at the Academy. Since 2003, it has been located in the Studio Building and comprises the digital lab, the analogue photo laboratory with two darkrooms, and the photo studio.
