The Academy offers ASA exchange students a place in individual artistic instruction (studio) at the Institute for Fine Arts. In addition, further courses can be freely chosen. The Academy offers an extensive program of theoretical lectures, many of which taught in English, and the opportunity to take part in classes in workshops and laboratories.

The acceptance of the place of study refers to a semester with 12 weeks of instruction. Lessons take place at 17 hours a week. The Academy awards 17 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System – ECTS) for this artistic individual course. The ASA students are free to take many courses in addition to individual artistic lessons.

ASA students are exempt from tuition fees. Only the obligatory contribution to the membership of the Austrian Students Union in the amount of appr. EUR 20.00 per semester is to be paid. This fee includes accident and liability insurance, which applies in the houses of the academy and for the way from the accomodation to the academy and return.

ASA Incoming Students live rent-free in a shared flat in the OeAD guest house Kandlgasse in 7th district of Vienna.

All information for applying for an ASA study place at the Academy can be found under Incoming Mobility.
