The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna intends to appoint following position at Institute for Art Theory and Cultural Studies:
according to § 99 UG 2002 for Contemporary Art. This professorship is appointed for a period of 2 years.
The field of duties covers teaching obligations of at least 6 units a week, the support of theses and dissertations as well as the cooperation in university agendas.
Requirements for application:
▪an appropriate degree of an Austrian or equivalent foreign university (or a qualification that may be considered equivalent);
▪excellent academic qualification in the relevant field;
▪proof of pedagogic and didactic qualities;
▪proof of appropriate international experience and non-university-related practice;
▪competence to hold a chair and of contributing to the development of the arts and sciences by promoting the Academy's research activities;
▪willingness to contribute in university agendas and to cooperate with colleagues is implied.
▪skills in interdisciplinary art and cultural studies having special regard to popular-cultural phenomena.
▪knowledge of the recent discourse and experience in the field of contemporary art-production;
▪activities in the field of research and publication.
