Architect and engineer Charles Walker currently leads the Advanced Geometry Unit (AGU) at Ove Arup & Partners in London. He joined Cecil Balmond's group at Arup in 1998, and subsequently in 2001 under the mentorship of Cecil Balmond founded the Advanced Geometry Unit.

Charles Walker's field of expertise is the technical realization of complex structures requiring the integration of contemporary CAD modeling, FE analysis and Computer Integrated Manufacturing.

Charles Walker is extensively involved in teaching; he is currently teaching at the Architectural Association in London, and has been a Technical Dissertation Unit Tutor at the Bartlett School of Architecture. He has also taught and lectured at schools around the world including the Imperial College, the Städelschule Frankfurt, Harvard, Yale, Oxford Brooks University, Leeds Metropolitan University, Cambridge University, the Academie van Bouwkunst in Amsterdam and TNO in Delft.
