flimmer.club is looking for moving image works (film, video, animation) up to a maximum of 10 minutes for the first Open Call between June and August. The first Open Call is explicitly aimed at students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Deadline: Sunday, 30 May 2021 midnight.

Twice a month we meet virtually in the flimmer.club, - talk, drink (the drink is available in our own fridge), watch film works and discuss with the respective artists on site. flimmer.club is a place to meet, to finally get closer again, but also a place for private conversations and a space for enjoying music and art.

The events will take place exclusively and deliberately in virtual space - in a bar as one has always wished. This will continue until a real visit to the bar is possible again. Then the flimmer.club will also become physical... wait and see... - In the meantime: flimmer.club!

Requirements

We are looking for: Finished moving image works up to max. 10 min. (narrative, experimental, documentary, ...).

We show: 2 works per flimmer.club evening by two different artists We offer: a small fee per work shown, the presentation of the film work on one evening in the flimmer.club (runs in a loop), the possibility to be present virtually and to talk to us and to guests.

How to reach us: Send a short text about the work (max. 5 sentences) and a viewing link (vimeo, youtube, ...) to → bar@flimmer.club
