Continuing last year’s lecture series, students of the Masters programme in Critical Studies are inviting protagonists from the fields of art, critical research, culture and theory to provide insights into their different practices. With focus on artistic and critical inquiries that scrutinise existing commodities, this term’s lectures draw attention to research as a tool to develop alternative and oppositional modes of knowledge production that exist within contemporary complexities.

Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė invited by Anna Barbieri and Martin Rovan

The talk will take place online and in English. It is open to the public. Please register in advance until the day before via macriticalstudies@gmail.com .

Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė’s live performances, sound works, films and multimedia installations search for de-institutional languages that break with existing hegemonies of perceptions. In their lecture, Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė will talk about current and past projects and reflect on their practice and methodology, which is deeply situated within the experience of collective reading. To provide a deeper understanding of this, part of their talk will take the format of a performative lecture.
