ABGESAGT

The first round of Research Talks will be held during the Summer Semester 2020 at the Academy of Fine Art’s Institute for Art Theory and Cultural Studies. Organized on a monthly basis, the talks invite all researchers based at the Academy to present and share their work.

Lecture by Katalin Cseh-Varga and Jelena Petrović, Respondent: Christian Kravagna
The language of this semester’s program is English. However, there will be room for presentations in German as well.

The basic idea of Research Talks is to create an open space for discussions with colleagues, (PhD) students, collaborators and all those who are interested to join.

During the Summer Semester of 2020 eight projects will be presented. Later on, the floor for further presentations, discussions, and collaborations will be open for everyone who is interested in presenting her or his research. Research Talks aims to provide a common ground for sharing reflections about different research projects within the Academy of Fine Art’s institutional frame. As organizers, we hope that this initiative leads to a discursive platform that contributes to the exchange between public debates and academic research.

Please, feel free to propose your research for the second round of Research Talks that will be organized during the Winter Semester of 2020/2021. All kinds of research that are being conducted at the Academy of Fine Arts are welcome. Please, contact the organizers via e-mail: Anamarija Batista ( A.Batista@akbild.ac.a t), Jelena Petrovic ( J.Petrovic@akbild.ac.at ), Ruth Sonderegger ( r.sonderegger@akbild.ac.at )
