Naomi's Path
Eien Ausstellung des Fachbereichs Kunst und Zeit | Fotografie.
Set in a speculative future, Naomi’s Path unfolds as a fictional documentary exploring mythology, religion, and superstition as forces that re-emerge through machine intelligence.
What appears today as functional machine movement may, in the distant future, be understood as ritual, exploration, or cosmological mapping. Drawing on ancient systems of belief, Alessandro Albrecht and Minjae Kim imagine a world in which machines attempt to comprehend human agency by reconstructing fragments, artefacts, and traces of the human era, much as humans study animals and past civilizations. The works examine the relationship between machine learning, an omnipresent condition of contemporary life, and the traces it leaves behind.
