Marina Gržinić-Mauhler receives LExA Leadership Excellence Award in Research 2026

Marina Gržinić-Mauhler was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 2003 to 2025. She was nominated in the "Experienced Leaders" category by her team, some of her former students. Gržinić-Mauhler was honored primarily due to her team's highly appreciative nomination and her compelling leadership approach, characterized by lived research rather than standardized management tools. Furthermore, the jury was impressed by her high integrity and intellectual excellence. She actively amplifies marginalized voices and serves as a positive role model, encouraging her team to make bold, socially relevant contributions to broader social discourse and interdisciplinary academic and artistic work. We thank Marina for her dedication and congratulate her most sincerely on this award!

The Career Center of the Ludwig Boltzmann Society awards the Leadership Excellence Award in Research (LExA) to outstanding and innovative leaders in research and science in Austria. Gržinić also received € 4,000 in prize money for team development measures along with the LExA Award.
