Courses offered at the University of Applied Arts
Courses offered at the mdw

This cooperation between the three universities extends their offer of gender-queer-decolonial-specific courses and facilitates their mutual acknowledgement of course results.

Attendance of a course at the respective other university comprises the following steps:

  • For students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna: if you wish to enroll a course at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, you are required to register at the Registrar's Office (Studienabteilung) as a co-registered students (Mitbeleger_in) during the period of general registration (please bring your student ID!). The course certificate will then be acknowledged by the Office of the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. In order to be credited at the University of Applied Arts, an application for advance notice (Antrag auf Vorausbescheid) must be submitted to the responsible dean's office. The application must be sent by e-mail to kurt.wallner@uni-ak.ac.at or studiendekan@uni-ak.ac.at
  • For students of the university of music and performing arts Vienna: if you wish to enroll a course at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, you are required to register at the Registrar's Office (Studienabteilung) as a co-registered students (Mitbeleger_in) during the period of general registration (please bring your student ID!). The course certificate will then be be credited by the director of studies upon request.
  • For students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna: if you wish to enroll a course at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and /or the university of music and performing arts Vienna, you are required to register there as a co-registered students during the period of general registration at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (also online at: http://dieangewandte.at/admission ) and/or the university of music and performing arts Vienna (StudienCenter der mdw) . The course certificate will then be acknowledged at the Academy of Fine Arts by the head of the Curricula Commission responsible for your studies [according to the respective study program].

The courses chosen can always be acknowledged as either a free elective course or an optional course. If you wish for your course to be otherwise acknowledged, please contact the head of the Curricula Commission responsible for your studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, or the Dean of Studies at the University of Applied Arts, or the Director of Studies at the mdw before the respective course begins.
