Herstory of Sound is a happening series by ContextCocktail with a focus on queer-feminist positions in live music, sound art and club culture. Newcomers as well as established artists have the opportunity to present themselves to a broader audience at untypical concert venues with a living room atmosphere.
Herstory of Sound focuses on experimental and interdisciplinary approaches. On the concert evenings, performances of the most diverse musical genres, from classical to hip hop to electronic music and pop, merge into a sound happening.
Herstory of Sound is both a safe(r) space for the queer community and supporters and a way to network and have each other's backs.

ContextCocktail
ContextCocktail is a fluid art collective operating in a major city on the Danube. Recurring themes are queerness, feminism, community building, and the questioning of social norms.
ContextCocktail is performance, video & photography and activism in public space. CC flirts with internet and social media culture.
ContextCocktail creates temporary (free) spaces and provides a stage for queer-feminist perspectives through happenings, workshops, and club culture. CC constantly multiplies and transforms itself through cooperation with members of the ContextCocktail community.
