Silent Treatment

Silent Treatment is an immersive performance set in a sauna. The heat and the focused space invite us to share silence together as a group. The environment is reduced to its essentials: sounds evoke memories, warmth envelops the body. What appears to be idleness becomes an active process of perception. The smallest movements and changes are given space to be noticed, prompting us to ask: Where are we? How do (other) bodies behave? With whom do we share this space?

Key facts:

• we really go into the Sauna for ~30min.
• ‎temperature is approximately 60 °C
• facilities include changing rooms and a (cold) shower.
• you will be provided with a towel and a container for your valuables, please bring your own slippers if needed.
• it`s a textile free Sauna meaning you will have to take off your private clothing. Whether you want to undress completely, wear underwear, a bikini or swimming trunks under the towel, it's up to you and your preference.
