The City as a Process, Urbanism as Practice. Uncertain Interventions in Public Space. Reality as an Uncontrollable Field of Action. Oliver Hangl is a performance and media artist as well as an urban activist. His work is characterized by a consistent exploration of the relationship between people and the environment. Hangl explores the boundaries between physical and psychological spaces. His works take place in both real and fictional environments. Using public space as a stage, he playfully embeds a series of site- and context-specific experiences and interactions for both planned and chance audiences.

In his lecture, the artist will present a selection of his urban walks, drives, and hikes, with a focus on various ways of bringing narratives to life.
