A Still Life of Bread and Butter is a participatory exhibition at the municipal market stand of the two art lovers Susanna Hofer and Anna Paul. Through direct confrontation, it poses questions about the basic needs of a society to which art and culture are not counted according to the Corona regulation. On Saturday, November 14, bread objects by Anna Paul and butter arrangements by Susanna Hofer can be purchased at the Bauernmarkt at the Vienna Naschmarkt at the price index for food. Enjoy works of art at a special price - a feast for the eyes that goes through the stomach!


On the following Thursday, November 19, this economic situation will go online as a video as part of the digital program of Vienna Art Week. The intervention is part of the group exhibition New Views on Same-Olds in the exhibition space of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, in which 22 young artists* deal with moments of repetition and their transformative potential in terms of content and form.
