Guided tour of the graphic works from the Graphic Collection in the exhibition History Tales. Fact and Fiction in History Painting
On the occasion of the Weekend of Graphics – an initiative that has existed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2009 – this guided tour focuses on the graphic works from the Graphic Collection of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna shown in the exhibition History Tales. Fact and Fiction in History Painting. René Schober, head of the Graphic Collection, will talk about Theophil Hansen's antique-style buildings, representations of rulers, as well as different approaches to the image of battle.
