In the spirit of collaboration, students of the Performing Arts class have engaged with works in the Raqs Media Collective exhibition, and will present a durational screening of performative works: Artist Negin Rezaie uses Raqs Media Collective's carpet work, Values Flicker but do Not Coincide (2021), commissioned specifically for the auditorium, as the starting point for a performance.

In The 'It' is Her , her mother’s political exile as well as her encounter with her daughter after many years in Vienna, are the occasion and theme of the performative exploration.

"The patterns and lines on the carpet in the auditorium, which I imagined to be flowing and continuous, made me blossom and grow," says the artist. The social, political, psychological, and material dimensions of the experiences of exile, oppression, and liberation intertwine in the re-encounter of mother and daughter to create a multi-layered form of performative memory work.

During the Rundgang 2022, from 20.–23.1.2022, the 2G+ rule applies at all Academy locations. This means that in addition to proof of vaccination or recovery, a valid, authenticated negative PCR test result (up to 48 hours after sample collection) must be presented for the controls at the entrance. FFP2 masks must also be worn in all public areas.
