Job vacancy at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna: University Professor at the Institute of Arts and Architecture
The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna intends to appoint following position:
in the field of Architectural Design with focus on urbanism at the Institute of Arts and Architecture. This professorship is appointed for a period of three years (19.09.2006 - 18.09.2009) with the possibility of extension.
The applicant is expected to impart methods and skills in the field of Architectural Design that allows students to reflect between the conflicting priorities of social, cultural and technological aspects in architecture and to develop the design in the context of urban perspectives.
Requirements for application:
- an appropriate degree of an Austrian or equivalent foreign university (or artistic/scientific qualification that may be considered equivalent);
- excellent appropriate artistic, practical and theoretical qualifications;
- proof of pedagogic and didactic qualities;
- proof of appropriate practical non-university-related experience.
Teaching obligations include 20 artistic individual tuition units a week at the Institute of Arts and Architecture.
