1st Elfriede Mejchar Prize for Photography 2024 goes to Lisa Rastl
The 1st Elfriede Mejchar Prize for Photography 2024 is awarded to the photographer and artist Lisa Rastl, who was born in Lower Austria and lives and works in Vienna and Burgenland.
In memory of the extraordinary photographic work of Elfriede Mejchar, her heirs have established the Elfriede Mejchar Prize for Photography with the aim of promoting photography in particular and keeping her work alive and in memory by examining her photographic oeuvre.
The prize, which is endowed with 7,000 euros, is awarded every two years and is linked to an exhibition of the prizewinner's work at Schloss Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel region.
