Anna Orbanic receives the Cathrin-Pichler-Prize 2025
The jury, consisting of Felicitas Thun-Hohenstein, Magdalena Stöger, Carola Dertnig, Stefanie Seibold, and Verena Kaspar-Eisert, selected Anna Orbanic and her project BODY OF MANY from a total of 19 submissions.
Anna Orbanic is a young architect who completed her master's degree at the Institute of Art and Architecture with a focus on ecology, sustainability, and cultural heritage.
"By not only observing biological processes but understanding them as creative partners, Anna Orbanic opens up new forms of expression at the interface of art, architecture, and science. BODY OF MANY is not just an experimental material project, but a poetic statement as an open, vulnerable process between idea, material, and time. A visionary, aesthetically and conceptually sophisticated work," finds the jury.
