AUTO¡STOP!: An Erasmus+ project

After a successful project in 2024, Auto¡Stop! is now entering its second round – once again as part of an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project. The international research workshop brings together teachers and students from three different countries to jointly explore the possibilities that arise when cars disappear from public space.

AUTO¡STOP!
New Urban Spaces in Car-Free Cities

The international research workshop brings together teachers and students from three different countries to jointly explore the possibilities that arise when cars disappear from public space. In 2025, the second Edition started in June in Vienna and will continue in August in Buenos Aires and September in Santiago de Chile. The students built up groups of three, with one participant per country. Each group surveyed the city of Vienna, looking for best and worst practices, constructing the Atlas of Auto Stop. This kind of observational task will continue in the other two cities.
