Who is eligible to vote?
Everyone employed at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (as of March 3, 2025) is listed in the electoral register. This register is available for inspection in the Senate Office.

What is the Senate?
The Senate is one of the university's three governing bodies, alongside the Rectorate and the University Council. Its responsibilities include appointing appointment committees, habilitation committees, curriculum committees, etc.

The Senate is composed of representatives from the university's three staff groups (professors; university lecturers and academic and artistic staff; general staff) and student representatives..
