Call | ArtStart_Studio 2019

The profession as an artist is supported for 10-15 graduates of the Academy with a nearly one-year studio program: in addition to the common use of a 420m2 open studio space in the creative cluster "Traktorfabrik" (Vienna 21 ^st District, Louis-Häfliger-Gasse 12) participate the artists in a workshop program that accompanies the step into the artistic independence. In addition, the location of the former “Traktorfabrik”, in which numerous artists and creatives are already located with their studios and workshops, offers the opportunity for exchange: contacts can be established and networks expanded. In November 2019, the artistic works developed during the studio program will be presented to a broader public as part of the Vienna Art Week.

Submission: Please save all documents in one PDF file (German or English, max 8 MB , print-out: DinA4 at the most) and send this file by email until January 13, 2019 to Mag.a Eva Leutgeb artstart@akbild.ac.at

Graduates who have already participated or participated in the ArtStart Professional Objective Artist Program are excluded from applying. Likewise, graduates who participated in the ArtStart_Studio program last year are excluded.

At the latest from March 2019 - December 2019: Use of the studio space/ Participation in the workshops

November 2019: Presentation of the newly formed works as part of an exhibition during the Vienna Art Week
