We are pleased to invite you to this year's Graduate Conference of the Center for Doctoral Studies.

The Graduate Conference aims at a stronger visibility and integration of doctoral candidates at the Academy of Fine Arts and seeks to increase exchange and networking possibilities among the doctoral candidates as well as researchers and artists of the Academy.

On April 30 four doctoral candidates in their final phase will present their dissertation projects or results of it, which will be discussed afterwards.

Barrier-free access:

The main building of the Academy at Schillerplatz has two main entrances that cater to different physical disability needs.

Schillerplatz Entrance:

  • For persons with visual impairments: a tactile guidance system leads from the sidewalk down the right side of the historic staircase to the porter's lodge (on the ground floor)
  • For persons with walking disabilities: the historic staircase is equipped with additional handrails.
  • For persons with limited mobility: a signpost leads from the Schillerplatz entrance to the barrier-free Makartgasse entrance.

Makartgasse Entrance:

For persons with mobility impairments: Through the automatic gate, please use the ramp in the passage on the left side. There you reach the large automatic entrance door, which can be opened with a button to the right of the door.
From there (basement) you can reach the elevator for access to the other floors. The Sitzungssaal is located on the ground floor. To get to the meeting room, please turn left twice. The Sitzungsaal is on the right side.
Opening hours entrance Makartgasse: from 8 to 20 h.
