FWF | Principal Investigator Projects International Slovakia
In cooperation with the Slovak Research and Development Agency (APVV), the FWF offers funding for closely integrated project collaborations between researchers in Austria and Slovakia. Bilateral calls in cooperation with APVV give researchers the opportunity to apply for international Principal Investigator Projects.
Target group
The funding program is aimed at qualified researchers from all disciplines. For details, please see the respective application guidelines.
Funding goals
Principal Investigator Projects International are intended to fund closely integrated projects in which researchers in Austria and Slovakia make substantial scientific contributions, creating added value through international cooperation.
Funding period and funding amount
Maximum 36 months
Requirements
For international Principal Investigator Projects with Slovakia, the application requirements of the program Principal Investigator Projects applies to FWF applicants.
Approval
- Applications are reviewed independently by the FWF and the APVV.
- International Principal Investigator Projects are approved only if both organizations recommend funding the respective application based on the review process.
Submissions are possible until 13 October 2026, 14 h.
