The Academy mourns the death of Arnulf Rainer (1929–2025)
The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna announces with great regret the passing of Arnulf Rainer. Rainer was Professor of Painting at the Academy from 1981 to 1995. He died on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the age of 96.
