Graphic Collection | Acquisitions of Contemporary Art
Upon decision of the board of the Association of Friends of Fine Arts (GFBK) on 27 November 1996, the Graphic Collection of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna was accorded an annual budget of for "continuous acquisitions of young Austrian art with special consideration given to graduates of the Academy, but also considering related international works of art".

Open Call of the Academy | Demokratie leben
In July, the initiative Demokratie leben was launched with an invited competition, which ran over the summer on various Gewista Citylights in public spaces in Vienna and on all of the institutions' digital channels. An open call for all students, alumni, and teachers of the academy has now been announced for the continuation of the series in January and February 2026.

Lectures for Future
Lecture series in the winter semester of 2025/26. Lectures for Future (L4F) is an interdisciplinary lecture series offered at various Austrian universities since the winter semester of 2019. In the L4F, researchers provide insights into their current scientific and artistic work on the topics of the climate crisis and sustainable development.
