HUB is a new peer-reviewed and open-access research journal for reporting on arts, design, and performing arts. The journal is published twice a year by i2ADS – Research Institute in Art, Design and Society (University of Porto, Portugal) and hosted on the Research Catalogue platform.

HUB receives open-themed articles aligned with its research areas on a continuous base. Submissions received by September 30 will be reviewed for the Spring Issue to be published in May next year.

The BMKOES in cooperation with the MAK is going to award a total of six scholarships for residency at the Mackey Apartments, Los Angeles, in 2024/2025. These scholarships are open to four free-lance artists, two advanced students of architecture (2. Studienabschnitt), and graduates of architecture immediately after completion of their degree.

The ERC Starting Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they are starting their own independent research team or programme. Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition, and feasibility of their research proposal.

The aim is to provide support for a small group of two to four Principal Investigators to jointly address ambitious research problems that could not be addressed by the individual Principal Investigators and their teams working alone.

ifk Research Fellowships are intended for postdoctoral researchers. Qualified applications can be submitted regardless of the nationality and institutional or professional affiliation of the applicant. Austrian applicants with comparable qualifications are given preference.

ifk Senior Fellowships are intended for outstanding researchers who are advanced in their academic careers, and want to pursue their own research at the IFK while fostering intellectual cooperation with the ifk Fellows and other Austrian colleagues.

The DOC Fellowship Programme of the Austrian Academy of Sciences offers funding for highly qualified doctoral candidates in all areas of research. The fellowships allow young researchers to dedicate themselves to working in focused fashion to complete their doctoral thesis within a clear timeframe.
