1. As a student of the Academy, how can I visit museums free of charge?
Wiener Städtische supports a membership card for students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts (Gesellschaft der Freunde der bildenden Künste), which allows free admission to a wide range of museums.

2. As a student, am I entitled to discounts on public transport in Vienna?
With the Wiener Linien semester ticket, you can travel on the underground, buses, and trams at a reduced rate for an entire semester. The ticket can be purchased online or directly from Wiener Linien service centers. It is valid for students under the age of 26 who are studying in Vienna.

Please note: Unfortunately, the semester ticket for students will be cancelled in 2026, and from the summer semester of 2026, there will be a new annual youth ticket for everyone under the age of 26 for 300 euros.
3. Where can I do sports in Vienna at a reasonable price?

5. What discounts are available for students at art, cultural, and sporting events?
As a student in Vienna, you can save money on many things—from cultural events to technology, public transportation, sports courses, and many other activities. In addition to traditional student discounts, which often have an age limit at around 26, there are now more and more offers for people under 30, regardless of your student status.
It is best to check with the respective providers. It is usually worth asking or checking to see if there is a discount available!
