Marion Gruber | plov Architekten Wien
Marion Gruber, * 1977 in Linz, studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology, where she also worked as a study assistant at the Institute for Building Theory. For her diploma she received the Kunsthallenpreis at the Archdiploma in 2007. During and after her studies she worked in various architectural offices, among others with Mecanoo Architekten [NL]. In 2012 she founded, together with partner Christoph Leitner, the architectural office PLOV Architekten ZT GmbH in Vienna. From 2012-2016 she was spokeswoman of IG-Architektur Wien, where she co-initiated the mentoring program for young female architects on their way to self-employment. Since 2018 she is involved in the competition committee of the Chamber of Civil Engineers and since 2019 she is an active member of the section architects. In January 2019, the PLOV company moved into its self-designed new office in the "Stadtelefant" in Vienna's Sonnwendviertel. The office building, which was developed, financed and constructed together with colleagues from related professions as Errichter-GmbH, received the highly coveted Bauherrenpreis 2019.
