Bettina Spörr is mentor of Seung-Yeon Jung.
Bettina Spörr is an art historian and curator and has been working at the Secession since 2008, where she has developed more than 60 solo exhibitions and numerous publications with artists and collectives of different generations and from diverse cultural and geographical contexts. She curated where do we go from here?, an edition of the “Junge Szene” exhibitions at the Secession, bringing together around 30 upcoming artists from Central Europe. From 2002 to 2008, she worked at the Generali Foundation, where she developed the project nicht alles tun. Ziviler und Sozialer Ungehorsam an den Schnittstellen von Kunst, radikaler Politik und Technologie (2008) together with Jens Kastner. The project comprised exhibitions in the independent art scenes in Vienna and Berlin as well as a publication of the same title.
