Antonia de la Luz Kašik

Antonia de la Luz Kašik is mentee of Claudia Larcher

Antonia de la Luz Kašik lives and works in Vienna. She develops projects that explore the technical possibilities of optical apparatuses in the creation of visual spheres. Her drawing and filmmaking practices are in close dialogue with one another.

As a cinematographer, she collaborates with other artists, most recently on the feature film bluish by Lilith Kraxner and Milena Czernovsky, the film essay B wie Bartleby by Angela Summereder, and with the collective ZAK | Center for Anti-Disciplinary Art, where artistic approaches situated between performance and film are developed.

After attending the Friedl Kubelka School for Independent Film, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the department Art and Time | Video, and as a guest student in the department Art and Image | Drawing.

In 2025, she received the Birgit Jürgenssen Prize; in 2024, the Atelier 105 Residency from Light Cone; and in 2022, the Panther Residency at the Halle für Kunst Steiermark.
