Mobility programmes for students

Erasmus+ study exchange SMS

For each level of studies (BA, MA, PhD), students have the opportunity to apply for 12 mobility months each, for diploma studies even 24 months, to partly finance their exchange with an Erasmus grant. Depending on the living expenses in the respective target country, this grant amounts to between EUR 380 and EUR 580 per month.

World Wide Exchange
This exchange programme applies to partnerships of the Academy with universities outside of Europe and is available for a maximum of one academic year (two semesters). Part of it can be funded with a Foreign Exchange Scholarship for Students of Universities of the Arts, but for this to apply, the respective university must be located in a third country (so outside the European Union). Students must be enrolled in their 6 th semester of the diploma study programme or in one of the Master programmes.

Swiss-European Mobility Programme SEMP
Swiss universities put a scholarship at the disposal of exchange students of the Academy. The programme guidelines are orientated on those of Erasmus+.

Exchange Cooperation Europe

This cooperation currently only exists with the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, not within the Erasmus Programme. Students must pay their own way.

ASA Art School Alliance

This exchange programme is carried out with the Hochschule der bildenden Künste Hamburg within the network of the Art School Alliance and concerns one place for artistic tuition in the study programme Fine Arts per semester. Our partner university provides a furnished apartment and an atelier working space free of charge. The Academy intends to extend the ASA Programme.
