Iga, who recently broke up with her boyfriend, is traveling by car. She travels from her Austrian homeland to Scotland, traveling along monotonous highways and through cheap hostels. Along the way, she picks up Ethan, an older Englishman who appears to be leading a precarious, unsettled life. After initial hesitation on both sides, the traveling companions slowly grow closer – until the film takes a surprising turn just before crossing the English Channel. [diagonale]
