Accessible workstation

In the side corridor of the library, a workstation is available for blind and visually impaired individuals. No proof of impairment is required for use.

The space can be used without prior registration during opening hours. However, to ensure that the workstation is not occupied, you are welcome to register with us in advance.

Technical Equipment

  • 27" EIZO EV2760-BK monitor with adjustable backlighting, anti-glare, and flicker-free
  • OpticBook 4800 scanner
  • ReadIt software—professional text recognition solution with speech output and low-vision display for scanners or ReadIt cameras
  • Fusion Version 2022 Pro, magnification software and screen reader
  • VOCATEX Plus V4 screen reader with FULL-HD camera and overlay text line, including 27" TFT screen
  • Index Everest V5 Braille printer
  • Braille label printer
  • VIDELUX Pro workstation lamp, dimmable, tactile controls, adjustable light colours

These devices can be used on-site but can also be borrowed for an agreed period: 

  • Explore 12 HD—electronic magnifier with HD camera and high-contrast 12" (30.48 cm) screen
  • OrCam Read Smart—mobile reading system for text recognition

The furnishings include an automatically height-adjustable table and a desk chair on wheels.
