Sarah Mühlbacher
Sarah Mühlbacher is mentee of Edin Zenun.
Sarah Mühlbacher, born in Salzburg in 1999, deals in her paintings with everyday situations, which she photographs and then uses as references for her works.
After completing her studies in painting at the University of Arts Linz under Ursula Hübner, she moved to Vienna in 2025, where she now lives and works.
During her studies, she received a merit scholarship from the University of Arts Linz and a scholarship for the Salzburg Summer Academy from the provincial government of Salzburg, where she attended Francis Ruyter's “painting pictures” course.
She previously exhibited at the Elektrohalle Rhomberg in Salzburg and at the Galerie Leuenroth in Frankfurt am Main. Most recently, she completed an artist-in-residence program at the Cité internationale des arts Paris with a scholarship from the provincial government of Salzburg.
