Die Sammlung betrachten & A Vista on Italy and France
Das Erscheinen des umfassenden Bestandskatalogs zu den rund 200 italienischen, französischen und spanischen Werken der Gemäldegalerie ist Anlass, in den ersten drei Ausstellungsräumen einen Schwerpunkt mit italienischen und französischen Hauptwerken zu setzen. Daneben sind im Rahmen des Formats Die Sammlung betrachten Highlights von Bosch über Rembrandt und Rubens bis Waldmüller zu sehen.

Wild Apollo’s Arrows. Klopstock Cult & Ossian Fever
This exhibition presents significant artistic works that exemplify this epochal shift from the Enlightenment to the irrationalism of the Storm and Stress movement and Romanticism. For the first time, the immense influence of the poet Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock on the fine arts and music of his own age is explored.
