The OeAD currently invites to submit applications to the Franz Werfel (PostDoc) and Richard Plaschka (PostDoc and PraeDoc) programmes.

The Franz Werfel Grant addresses young university teachers whose work focuses on Austrian Literature.

The Richard Plaschka Grants are open to university lecturers of history whose main focus of academic interest is Austrian history and who place special emphasis on cross-border collaboration in their scientific activities. Both grant programmes are open to applicants from all over the world. Grants will last up to 18 months.

For the Richard Plaschka PraeDoc Scholarship programme doctoral students of history studies who primarily focus on Austrian history can apply. The duration of the scholarship is four to twelve months; an extension to up to 18 months is possible. Persons who consumed at least 12 scholarship months can apply for the follow-up support programme.
