Anna Barbieri
Anna Barbieri is mentee of Marijana Schneider.
Anna Barbieri studied architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and TU Wien and completed the MA Critical Studies programme at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Central to her theory-based artistic practice is the exploration of architectural and spatial productions, as well as their socio-political entanglements and media representation. She addresses these themes through videos, films, texts, and installations that are situated at the intersection of essay, documentary, and theory. In 2024/2025, she participated in the Golden Pixel Cooperative Lab (GPC Lab); in 2025, she received the Start-Stipendium Medienkunst from the Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport (BMWKMS). Currently, she lives and works in Lower Austria.
